Well I have just been awful about blogging lately. The last few weeks have been absolutely crazy. The last week of school was stressful with getting ready for Dustin to move into our apartment, finishing up with school, plus my bachelorette party was that weekend. The end of school went really well. I was able to pack up and get out early which is always nice. It was a bitter sweet moment though. For the past 3 years, I have been blessed to work with Stefanie Sprague. I honestly don't know how I would have made it through the past three years without her. My first year we coached together, taught the same grade and were in the same department, and also were stuck on bus duty every morning for about 3 months. We always said it was a good thing we got along because otherwise we would have been pretty miserable. She quickly became one of my very best friends. At the end of our first year she had her son Easton who just turned 2 at the beginning of this month. He is also the ring bearer in the wedding. At the end of this school year, her husband, Mike, was given a great job opportunity in Idaho. The whole family left this past weekend to go and live up there. I think slowly God has been preparing me for not having her at school very much. Stefanie quit coaching this past year, and it was a hard change for me at the beginning of the year. She had been a person I could vent to when things got stressful and was always around. As much as I missed her though, I was able to connect with the other coaches and realized I'd be ok. In January, she had her second son, Aiden, and I had to get used to her not being at school while she was on maternity leave. Once again, I was devestated, but slowly realized I'd be ok. Now she is gone for good. I think I'll always be sad not to have my best friend at school. I'll never forget at a training once where the presenter said you couldn't make it through teaching without a best friend on campus. We automatically looked at each other. I'm so excited for the new journey that the Sprague family is about to begin. I'll always be sad that she isn't down in her room waiting for me to come talk during 6th period. I'm so grateful for the 3 years we got to teach/coach together. I'm also super excited because I get to see her again in July for the wedding since she is a bridesmaid.
I'll update on the bachelorette party and new apartment soon!
